Our Privacy Principles

We built CoachEx with a strong focus on protecting your videos and personal data.

  • Your videos belong to you. Videos you record or upload remain private to your account and are not shared publicly.

  • Most analysis happens on your device. The app analyzes tennis swings locally on your phone or tablet whenever possible.

  • You control whether your data improves the system. If you choose, you can allow anonymized data to help improve our AI coaching features. This option can be turned off at any time in Settings → Privacy.

  • We do not sell your data. Your videos and personal information are never sold or used for advertising.

Our goal is to give you useful coaching feedback while keeping your data secure and under your control.

Information We Collect

Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Account login information

This information is used only to provide and operate the Service.

Videos and Coaching Data

On-Device Video Analysis
CoachEx analyzes tennis swings primarily on your device. When you record or upload a video, the analysis needed to generate coaching feedback is performed locally on your device.
Instead of sending the full video for processing, the app typically uploads only derived analysis results necessary to provide coaching feedback and allow synchronization across devices.
Limited Image Processing
In some cases, the app may upload individual frames or images from a video to help our AI coaching system generate more accurate feedback.
These images are used solely to provide the coaching functionality of the Service.
Video Storage
Videos may be uploaded to our servers only to support user features such as:

  • accessing videos from multiple devices

  • backing up user content

  • reviewing past coaching sessions

Videos stored on our servers are private to the user’s account and are not publicly accessible.

Device Permissions

The app may request permission to access certain device capabilities in order to provide its features:

  • Camera: Used to allow the AI Coach to analyze your tennis swings and record tennis videos for you.

  • Microphone: Used only to enable conversation with your Coach within the app.

  • Location: Used only while the app is running to tag your recorded lessons and related videos for easy filtering and review.

These permissions are used only to enable core app functionality and can be controlled in your device settings.

Optional Data Sharing

Improving Our AI System
You may choose whether your videos may be used to improve the accuracy of our swing analysis.  This option can be controlled at any time in:

Settings → Privacy → Share videos to improve accuracy

  • If the option is disabled, your videos will not be used for training or improving our algorithms.

  • If the option is enabled, selected data may be used to improve our coaching models.

Any data used for training is anonymized and aggregated, and it cannot be connected back to an individual user. Participation is entirely optional.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

You may also choose whether to share anonymous usage data that helps us improve the application. This option can be turned on or off in:

Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data

Usage analytics may include:

  • feature usage

  • performance metrics

  • crash reports

  • general interaction with the app

This information does not identify you personally and is used only to improve the Service.

Your Control

You remain in control of your data. You can:

  • delete videos stored in your account

  • disable uploading of anonymized videos to improve training

  • disable anonymous analytics

  • delete your account

Videos stored on our servers as part of your account remain private, secure, and accessible only to you.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information and stored videos from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Family Use

CoachEx may be used by individuals, coaches, or families practicing tennis together. If the Service is used by or on behalf of a minor, a parent or guardian should supervise use of the Service and manage account privacy settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the updated version will be posted here with the revised date.
