CoachEx uses several forms of what is commonly referred to as Artificial Intelligence (AI) • Machine learning algorithms and computer vision to analyze your tennis swings. These technologies help identify movement patterns, stroke timing, and technical elements of your swing. Most of this visual analysis occurs directly on your device. • Large Language Models (LLMs) to examine the numerical and textual analysis performed on your device to generate coaching feedback. This analysis occurs on our service and securely using third party AI services. Videos of you are never shared with third parties. • LLMs to enable conversation with your coach. We use a combination of our own code and third party partners to enable this 'live' coaching experience, informed by our analysis of your motion as you perform tennis swings.

Not exactly. Our algorithms analyze your movement patterns to extract a numerical analysis of your motion. this analysis happens on your device. It is this numerical data which is sent to AI for analysis to generate Coaching advice. Video recordings of you are not sent to our servers for processing. Sometimes individual frames or images may be used to assist certain AI coaching features.

Only if you choose to allow it. CoachEx includes a privacy setting that allows you to control whether your videos may be used to improve our system. This option can be turned on or off at any time in: Settings → Privacy → Share videos to improve accuracy If you disable this option, your videos will not be used for training.

If you choose to allow your data to help improve CoachEx: • Selected data may be used to improve our machine learning models to improve their accuracy • The data used for training is anonymized and aggregated. • It cannot be connected back to you or your account. Our goal is to improve coaching accuracy while protecting user privacy.

No. CoachEx is designed to analyze tennis technique and movement, not personal identity. The system does not attempt to identify who you are from your videos.

No. Videos stored by CoachEx are private to your account and are not visible to other users. You may choose to share your own videos using your phone's built-in sharing mechanisms.

No. CoachEx does not sell user data or videos. Any optional data used to improve our system is anonymized and used only to improve the product. Your videos and other data are yours.

There are two ways videos are uploaded: • Privately and securely for your use only, as part of your subscription. This is a feature of CoachEx that we will back up your videos in our service to be able to restore your account if your device is lost or you acquire a new device. This is also useful if you have a second device where you like to watch your videos. This cloud storage is under your control and kept secure. If you would rather not upload videos even privately, you can disable this in Settings → Subscription→ Back up my videos • To improve our analysis of your tennis swings. When this occurs, we anonymize the videos and aggregate them so that they cannot be traced back to you. You can change your preference at any time in: Settings → Privacy → Share videos to improve accuracy Turning this option off will stop your data from being used to improve our system going forward.

Camera access allows CoachEx to analyze tennis swings to provide coaching feedback, and to record swing videos for you to watch later, with optional coaching commentary. You can control camera permissions in your device settings, however if you disable camera access for CoachEx the app cannot function.

Microphone access allows you to converse with your AI Coach. By talking with you coach you can ask questions, explain what you want to do, ask for more review or for Coach to show you training or analysis vides. You can control microphone permissions in your device settings, however if you disable microphone access for CoachEx a significant part of the coaching experience is lost.

Location access is used only while you are using the app. It allows CoachEx to tag your videos and lessons with the location and, if available, the name of tennis facility where you practiced. You can later use this to sort your videos by location, or to jog your memory of where you practiced. You can control location permissions in your device settings.

Some amount of data must be shared with our service to allow the coaching experience to function, and to ensure our service and application operates properly. Other data sharing is optional. You can disable our use of your videos to improve our analysis: Settings → Privacy → Share videos to improve accuracy You can disable our use of your usage data to improve our product and experience: Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data The core coaching features will still work.
